Realme 12x 5G India launch details

  • Realme 12x 5G is going to be the next smartphone from the brand in India, according to industry sources. There’s no specific launch date revealed yet but we should start seeing official teasers from Realme soon.
  • The upcoming Realme phone will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC charging support in India. In China, the phone supports only 15W charging. With 45W charging speeds, the device can reach 50 percent within 30 minutes, and it supports reverse charging as well. It’s also said to offer the fastest charging in the segment.
  • Like the Realme 12, the Realme 12x 5G will feature a ‘Dynamic Button’ that acts as a shortcut for various functions. The Dynamic Button will let you activate DND and Airplane Mode, camera modes like Street Photography and Google Smart Lens. You can also set it up for functions according to your preferences.

Realme 12x 5G has already been spotted on the BIS certification website suggesting an imminent launch. It looks like this will be the same Realme 12x 5G that launched in India but with more features. In China, the Realme 12x 5G starts at RMB 1,399 (Rs 16,300 approx) for the 12GB+256GB variant and RMB 1,599 (Rs 18,700 approx) for the 12GB+512GB model.

Going by this speculation, here’s what to expect from the Realme 12x 5G.

Realme 12x 5G specifications

Realme 12x 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 625 nits peak brightness. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor paired with Mali G57 GPU. It comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage with expandable storage support via a microSD card.

It houses a 50MP primary camera along with a secondary sensor, and an 8MP front camera for selfies. On the software front, the Realme 12x 5G runs Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0 out-of-the-box. The phone houses a 5,000mAh battery. While it supports 15W charging in China, the unit coming to India will support 45W fast charging. The handset also comes with an IP54 rating for dust and spill resistance.
