Vivo X Fold2 specifications

The Vivo X Fold2 will sport an 8.03-inch main display that will fold vertically. The display will bear a 2,160×1,916p resolution, a 4:3.5 aspect ratio, and 360 pixels per inch (ppi). The secondary display will be 6.53 inches tall with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 2,520×1,080p resolution, and 420ppi. Additionally, the displays will support HDR10+ support and a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset measures 161.3mm ×73.4mm ×13mm (6-6.7mm when unfolded) and weighs 280 grams.

At its core will lie Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/ 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The X Fold2 will pack a 4,800mAh battery that will fast charge at 120W and 50W using wired and wireless chargers respectively. In optics, the handset is said to feature triple cameras, which will pack a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture, a 12MP f/2.0 ultrawide lens with a 108-degree field of view (FoV), and a 12MP portrait unit with 47mm focal length. For selfies and video calling, the phone will rely on a 16MP front camera. Lastly, the handset will be available in three colourways: Blue, Black, and Red, and sport an in-display fingerprint scanner for security.

Vivo X Flip specifications

The X Flip specifications, on the other hand, are more modest. The handset will sport a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 2,520x1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh, 406ppi, and HDR10+ support. The cover display will be 3 inches tall. The handset will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and equipped with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone will house a 4,400mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.

Vivo X Flip

For photography, it sports a 32MP main camera (f/1.75) and a 12MP secondary ultra-wide lens with 108-degree FoV and f/2.2. There will be a 32MP camera on the front for selfies. Much like the X Fold2, the flip will also come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset will measure 166.4mm×75.3mm×8.2mm and weigh 200 grams. As for the colour options, the Vivo X Flip will come in purple, black, and gold shades.

There is no word on the Vivo X Fold2 and X Flip software yet, but we speculate that it will run Android 13 out of the box. The design of the smartphones is likely to be similar to the existing foldable and flip smartphones in the market. That said, the Vivo X Fold 2 is said to come in a much more compact and slimmer form factor than its predecessor the X Fold. That is all the information we can divulge at the moment.
