The support page states that WiFi connection isn’t available on the Fitbit Sense 2, Fitbit Versa Lite Edition, or Fitbit Versa 4. Interestingly enough, WiFi technology is built-in to the new devices. But it’s not accessible and can’t be turned on. It’s a bit of a strange move to add the technology if there were no plans to make it a connection method.

Or presumably no music playback or interaction of any kind for that matter. It seems that all three upcoming watches will have no support for music playback controls either. Limiting users to managing playback options directly from their connected phones.
This may not be a dealbreaker for most users since music playback is still available on a connected phone. But it’s certainly much easier to raise your wrist and hit pause or play. As opposed to pulling your phone out of your pocket and doing it there instead.
It’s also just simply odd to remove such features when past devices in the Fitbit lineup have included them. And when just about every other smartwatch out there includes them.
