FLY91 Begins Commercial Operations, First Flight Takes Off From Mopa.

FLY91 launches operations with Goa-Bengaluru flights at Rs 1,991 fare. Plans expansion to connect major cities under UDAN scheme.

FLY91, a Goa-based airline, kicked off its commercial operations with a flight from Goa to Bengaluru on Monday.

Departing from Goa’s Manohar International Airport at 07.55 am, the airline marked its debut journey to Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. Furthermore, FLY91 also launched its inaugural flight to Sindhudurg from Bengaluru on the same day, as confirmed by a company representative, as reported by Business Standard.

To celebrate its launch, FLY91 announced a special fare of just Rs 1,991 (all inclusive), applicable to all its flights across different sectors. Manoj Chacko, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FLY91, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating that it reflects the airline’s dedication to connecting India in unprecedented ways.

Initially, FLY91 will operate flights between Goa, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Sindhudurg. Plans are in place to extend operations to Agatti, Jalgaon, and Pune by April. The airline’s schedule includes flights between Goa and Bengaluru on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with a similar frequency for Bengaluru-Sindhudurg routes. Additionally, flights will connect Goa and Hyderabad, as well as Sindhudurg and Hyderabad twice a week.

FLY91 currently boasts two ATR 72-600 aircraft, with four more expected to join the fleet in the upcoming months. This strategic expansion aims to establish a robust presence across India, focusing on five key zones in the country, according to the company spokesperson.

Under the government’s Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) UDAN, FLY91 has secured its initial set of routes. These routes encompass destinations like Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Nanded in Maharashtra, and Agatti in Lakshadweep, in addition to business and leisure hubs such as Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad, and Pune, as highlighted by the spokesperson.
