Galaxy A25 5G renders leak early, show striking similarities to A24

It’s been barely two months since Samsung launched the Galaxy A24, but the company already seems to be readying its successor. Noted leakster Steve H. McFly, aka OnLeaks, has teamed up with Giznext to give us unofficial CAD-based renders of an alleged Galaxy A25 5G. The device may not launch anytime soon, though.

The leaked renders show a phone with striking similarities to the Galaxy A24. Everything from the U-shaped notch on the screen and uneven bezels to the positioning of buttons, ports, holes, and the camera is unchanged. The new phone’s reported dimension of 162 x 77.5 x 8.3 mm also largely matches the Galaxy A24’s 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3 mm.

This makes us wonder if the device we are looking at is the Galaxy A25 5G or Galaxy A24 5G. Agreed, Samsung has been following the same design philosophy for all of its phones this year, calling it the Signature Flagship Design. Recent Galaxy devices in every price segment mostly looked the same, particularly from the back.

But it’s too early for the arrival of “5-series” Galaxy A models. The Korean firm launched the “4-series” Galaxy A14, A24, A34, and A54 earlier this year, with some 4-series Galaxy M models still to come. Their successors aren’t expected before 2024, certainly not until the end of 2023. Moreover, the Galaxy A14 got a 5G version, while the Galaxy A24 has only arrived in a 4G flavor. The other two models are 5G-only.

It’s possible that Samsung planned to launch this phone as Galaxy A24 5G, but something delayed it. The company may have now canceled it and decided to rebrand the device to Galaxy A25 5G. Or maybe it will still arrive as the Galaxy A24 5G, though all of this is just our speculation. There have been rumors that Samsung will discontinue the Galaxy A2x lineup in 2024. So that adds to the confusion as well. We will let you know once we have more information.

Rumored Galaxy A25 5G specs and features

It may be too early for Galaxy A25 5G leaks, but now that we have one, let’s dive deeper into it. The device is rumored to feature a 6.44-inch LCS screen with FHD+ resolution. The renders confirm a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into the power button. We can also see a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom, along with a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a microphone hole. Like most other recent Galaxy devices, the Galaxy A25 5G also gets three cameras on the back. Stay tuned for more details about the new mid-range 5G phone from Samsung.
