The new update for the Galaxy A53 5G comes with firmware version A536BXXS5CWD3 in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK. The Galaxy A54 5G is getting the new update with firmware version A546EXXU2AWDB in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Singapore, Thailand, the Dominican Republic, the Caucasus region, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, and Vietnam.

The update brings the May 2023 security patch that fixes over 70 security vulnerabilities found in Galaxy phones. If you have a Galaxy A53 5G or a Galaxy A54 5G and if you live in any of the respective countries mentioned above, you can now check for the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the appropriate firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 5G in early 2021 with Android 12 onboard and the Galaxy A54 5G with Android 13 onboard. Both phones were promised four major Android OS updates.
