Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy S24 series in Korea. It is the 2nd update for Korean S24 customers, but this time, its changelog is a bit of a mystery.

This 2nd update for the Galaxy S24 series in Korea carries firmware version S928NKSU1AXBA (via Tkyun95). The phone’s first update in Samsung’s home country was identified by firmware version AXB5.

Likewise, the new release includes the February 2024 security patch. But as you can probably tell by the “U” letter in the firmware number, this 2nd update for the Galaxy S24 series should include new features and/or changes and not be limited to just a security update.

Nevertheless, this AXBA update seems to be on the lighter side, as it weighs only 418MB. And it turns out that the same AXBA firmware version marked the first Galaxy S24 update for India. Elsewhere, the flagship received the AXB5 update, but after hitting Korea, this AXBA build should also be rolling out for the Galaxy S24 series in Europe soon (via @tarunvats33).

Samsung has already addressed camera and display issues with the previous firmware release, and Galaxy S24 users can now make their displays look vivid again. Whatever this new update brings is unclear, but either way, we’ll let you know when the new version rolls out outside Korea.

If you want to check manually for the update, you can visit our firmware page or open the Settings app on your phone, access “Software update,” and tap “Download and install.”
