Galaxy S24 Ultra Gorilla Glass Armor is a game-changer for anti-reflective displays

0 23

The Galaxy S24 Ultra might look a lot like its predecessor, but its iterative upgrades result in a much better overall experience. Be it a brighter screen, faster processor, faster image processing, or a tougher body, the improvements might not look much on paper, but they greatly improve the user experience, just like its new Gorilla Glass protection.

Galaxy S24 Ultra’s screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Armor for better anti-reflective performance

Samsung might not have made a lot of marketing hype around the Gorilla Glass Armor protection on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it deserves a lot of praise. Not only is the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s screen a lot brighter than the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but the anti-reflective properties of the Gorilla Glass Armor panel improve the experience to an even higher level. Now that more people have started experiencing the Galaxy S24 Ultra, they have started noticing a stark improvement in the phone’s anti-reflective screen. It is extremely glare-free and manages to cut down the reflections coming from light sources nearby.

According to Samsung, the Gorilla Glass Armor panel cuts back on up to 75% reflection compared to competitive glass-based screen protection panels. If you work or live in environments that have a lot of light, you might benefit greatly from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s anti-reflective screen protection glass. As you can see in the image above by Ice Universe, the contents on the screen look much better on the Galaxy S24 Ultra compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The colors are more true to life, and there are almost no reflections to speak of. The panel is also claimed to be resistant to micro scratches that build up over time on competing glass panels.

After looking at how the screen on Samsung’s new flagship phone is performing, many are of the opinion that Samsung should market the feature a lot more than it is doing right now. The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a new 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen panel with QHD+ resolution, HDR10+, and up to 2,600 nits peak brightness. The display is now completely flat, which makes writing with the S Pen even easier.
