Galaxy Z Flip 5 could be more expensive than we thought

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 could end up being more expensive than we thought. According to a new rumor, it could actually cost noticeably more than the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This goes against another rumor that surfaced not long ago.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 could be noticeably more expensive than the Flip 4

Do note that the source of this info is rather odd, as the info comes from Greece. So, we’ll take the European price of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 as a comparison point here, of course.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4’s base model was available for €1,099 at launch, in the Eurozone. This new model is rumored to cost €1,299, well, its base variant is. So we’re looking at an almost 20% price increase here, which is a considerable change.

Do note that the price tag will likely be different in other countries, as it will vary from one to the other. Why? Well, due to different VAT levels, but that’s normal. This does indicate an increase for other markets too, though, compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 will look like a more refined product. It will include a larger outer display, and it’s also said to fold flat (different hinge), unlike its predecessor. Other than that, the design will be the same. Even the crease won’t be much different, though it’s supposed to be a bit less visible.

Do take this info with a grain of salt, though

We’re not sure if this info from Greece is accurate, though, so keep that in mind. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 could easily cost the same as the Flip 4, based on previous info. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is actually tipped to cost a bit less.

Speaking of which, both devices surfaced in renders earlier today. On top of that, their specs got shared by a tipster, revealing plenty of information about Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones.

Both devices will launch next month in Seoul, Korea. They’re tipped to arrive on July 26, but we’re still not sure if that’s the date. Samsung didn’t confirm it yet.
