As you can see, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 crease (on the right) is less noticeable than the Galaxy Z Fold 3’s. That has been one of the main complaints when it comes to the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Mainly because some other OEMs managed to offer a much less noticeable crease.

Looking at the crease of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, it doesn’t seem like it will be on the same level as some other phones. Devices like the OPPO Find N have several of them due to a different hinge, but they’re even less noticeable than the one shown here. You can’t even feel it under your finger.

Samsung obviously won’t use a waterdrop hinge in the Galaxy Z Fold 4, though. There’s a good reason for that, though. Samsung wants to retain water resistance. The good news is, the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s hinge will be a lot narrower than the one on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. In other words, it will protrude way less.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to arrive in August, during Samsung’s second Unpacked event of the year. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 are also tipped to launch during that event, by the way.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be the star of the show, though. Many people are awaiting Samsung’s response to a number of other foldables that launched. Still, the vast majority of those foldables are not available outside of China, so Samsung still doesn’t have much competition in the global markets.
