Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 firmware development has now begun

Exciting times are up ahead for Samsung fans. We’re only a few months away from the launch of Samsung’s 2022 foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. A lot has to happen before these devices hit the market but the wheels are definitely turning in that direction.
Samsung has now started the firmware development for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. This is a key step before the launch of any new device and when seen in conjunction with the other reports that have recently come out, it shows that things are right on track.
Firmware development begins for the 2022 Samsung foldables
Samsung has now started firmware development for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4. F936NKSU0AVF2 and F721NKSU0AVF2 are the two test builds, respectively. We can now expect to see more test builds surface in the coming weeks as the development work on the firmware progresses.
Rumor has it that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have a 6.7-inch foldable display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will also get a slightly larger 2.1-inch cover display. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 may power the device alongside 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The expected specs for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 include a wider and shorter cover display, a major camera improvement, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a larger 4,400mAh battery as well as a thinner and lighter body.
Recent reports have also highlighted that Samsung has started mass producing the parts for its new foldable smartphones. It’s expected that the devices themselves will enter mass production in July. Samsung is likely going to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in August this year.
