Popular action role-playing game Genshin Impact has demonstrated its craze in South Korea. Samsung‘s Genshin Impact-themed Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro were reportedly sold out within minutes of the company opening sales. According to the Korean media, Samsung made 100 units of the special foldable and 200 units of the TWs earbuds available for purchase in its homeland last week. The entire stock of the limited edition devices was sold out in 14 minutes.

Samsung sold out Genshin Impact-themed Galaxy devices within minutes

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 4 Genshin Impact Edition and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro Genshin Impact Edition at the Global Game Exhibition G-STAR 2022 in South Korea last month. These limited edition devices featured the in-game character Ganyu all over them. Ganyu or her signature Ice Lotus trail appeared on the retail box as well as the foldable’s rear panel. The box itself contained a host of exclusive accessories, including a couple of protective cases, straps, stickers, a wireless charging pad, a postcard, and more. And you guessed it right, all of those featured the Cyro character.

The presence of Ganyu means you get a blue accent all over the box and accessories. This includes the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro retail box and its charging case as well. The latter came with an attached strap featuring the Genshin Impact in-game character. The buds themselves don’t get any aesthetic changes, though. Perhaps they are too small for external customizations to make any meaningful impact. But for hardcore Genshin Impact fans, this exclusive Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro bundle offered plenty to cherish and be excited about.

Unsurprisingly, the devices ran out of stock in no time. Samsung reportedly opened sales at 12 noon last Wednesday, December 21. 14 minutes later, all 300 units of the Genshin Impact-themed Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro were sold out. That’s despite the devices costing significantly more than the regular models. Samsung charged KRW 2,388,000 (approx. USD 1,880) and KRW 329,000 (approx. USD 260) for the two devices, respectively. The regular Galaxy Z Fold 4 costs KRW 1,990,000 and offers the same set of specs. The extra money is for customized exteriors and exclusive accessories.

Samsung has launched more such special edition devices

Samsung launching Genshin Impact-themed Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is just one of many such collaborations. It has also made special edition devices in collaboration with Pokemon, Thomson Browne, Maison Margiela, and many other brands. The Korean brand even sells exclusive accessories in partnership with brands. You can check out these Star Wars and Pokemon-themed accessories for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Watch 4/5, and the Galaxy Buds lineup.
