The Indian regulatory agency approved its batteries with model numbers EB-BF742ABE and EB-BF742ABY, which are in line with the device’s model number, SM-F741. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 (SM-F956) followed a couple of days later with its first certification from Safety Korea with the model number EB-BF957ABY L.
The BIS has now certified more battery packs for the upcoming foldable duo. 91Mobiles spotted two additional battery certifications for each. The Flip 6’s batteries bear model numbers EB-BF741ABE and EB-BF741ABY, while those for the Fold’s 6 batteries are EB-BF956ABE and EB-BF956ABY. The varying identifiers likely indicate different manufacturers of the batteries. Samsung usually does that, sourcing batteries for its devices from various firms.
