Google Message now lets you react to a message from an iPhone

0 37

Ever since Apple introduced iMessage, the messaging between Android and iOS hasn’t been smooth. However, Google has recently been making efforts to make messaging between Android and iOS easier. Earlier this year, Google addressed an issue with the Messages app where Tapbacks from an iPhone weren’t shown as reactions. Instead, they were delivered as separate messages in the chat.

Now, Google has added a new feature to the Google Messages app to make messaging between the two smartphone platforms more seamless. According to a Reddit user, Google Messages now lets you react to a message sent from iPhone. However, the reactions are displayed as separate text messages on iPhones saying that the particular person has liked the message. So, the ball now seems to be in Apple’s court to fix this issue, but we doubt if Apple would take any action to improve that.

It was also discovered that this feature is in the beta version of Google Messages, and it is unlikely to be available in the stable version of the app. However, a few other Reddit users who are also using Google Message beta haven’t been able to react to messages from iPhone, which suggests that the new feature may be region and/or device-dependent. Have you received the new feature on your Samsung device? Do let us know in the comments section below.
