Google Pixel 7a Vs OnePlus 11R: Comparison of price, camera, battery and more between two premium smartphones

0 41

Google unveiled the Google Pixel 7a, the most affordable variant in the Pixel 7 lineup, during the recent Google I/O developer’s conference. Priced at 43,999, this phone enters the realm of budget flagship devices, offering the same processor found in the higher-priced Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro models. Despite the lower price point, the Google Pixel 7a delivers comparable performance and features.

The smartphones from Google rivals the OnePlus 11R. In case you are wondering which one to buy with the similar specifications, here is the comparison for you.

Design

In the realm of design, the Pixel 7a follows the design language of its larger counterpart, the Pixel 7, but in a more compact form factor. On the other hand, the OnePlus 11R closely resembles the OnePlus 11, appearing as a clone with some minor differences. The Pixel 7a retains the characteristic Pixel “camera bar” on its rear, while the OnePlus 11R features a similarly large spherical camera module, reminiscent of the OnePlus 11, albeit without the Hasselblad branding.

Both phones feature tall displays with slim bezels and curved sides, offering a premium look. However, the OnePlus 11R goes a step further by incorporating a curved display, lending it an enhanced sense of sophistication. In terms of dimensions, the Pixel 7a is more compact, measuring 152mm in height compared to the OnePlus 11R’s 163.4mm.

Display

The OnePlus 11R features a larger 6.74-inch fluid AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the Pixel 7a sports a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 11R also boasts a slightly higher resolution of 2,772×1,240 pixels, resulting in a higher pixel density of 450ppi, whereas the Pixel 7a has a resolution of 2,400×1080 pixels, offering a pixel density of 429ppi.

Processor and storage

The Pixel 7a, despite featuring the same Google Tensor G2 processor as the more expensive Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, falls short in terms of pure performance compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip found in the OnePlus 11R. While the Tensor G2 introduces various intelligent functionalities to the Pixel 7a and enhances its photography capabilities, if raw power is the primary concern, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 clearly takes the lead. In terms of memory, both devices utilize UFS 3.1 storage, but the OnePlus 11R gains a slight advantage with its LPDDR5X RAM, which is marginally faster than the LPDDR5 RAM used in the Pixel 7a.

The Pixel 7a is available in a single RAM and storage configuration—8GB+128GB. In contrast, the OnePlus 11R offers both an 8GB+128GB model and a more expansive 16GB+256GB variant.

Cameras

The Pixel 7a features a 64-megapixel primary sensor, equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), and produces outstanding results. The 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and 13-megapixel front-facing camera of the Pixel 7a also deliver superb results.

On the other hand, the OnePlus 11R’s 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS. It also features an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera along with a 2-megapixel macro camera sensor.

Software

Both the OnePlus 11R and Pixel 7a are equipped with the latest Android 13 operating system upon purchase.

Battery

The OnePlus 11R is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, while the Pixel 7a features a slightly smaller 4,385mAh battery. However, the OnePlus 11R compensates for this with its support for 100W fast charging and includes a 100W charger in the box, enabling it to recharge in just half an hour. On the other hand, the Pixel 7a supports a more modest 18W charging speed and does not include a charger in the box.

Price

The Pixel 7a is priced at 43,999 for its single variant, offering 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On the other hand, the OnePlus 11R is available at 38,999 for the 8GB+128GB configuration, and it also offers a higher-end 16GB+256GB variant priced at 44,999.
