Google Pixel 8 series battery specs (Expected)

  • According to the latest leak, the Pixel 8 series will come with battery and charging speed upgrades as compared to the Pixel 7 series.
  • Starting with the Pixel 8, it will pack a 4,485mAh battery, Android Authority reported. This would be slightly larger than the 4,270mAH battery on the Pixel 7.
  • The Pixel 8 Pro also gets a bump with a 4,950mAh battery from the 4,296mAh battery on the Pixel 7 Pro.
  • Google is also reportedly increasing the charging power from 20W to 24W on the Pixel 7, and 23W to 27W on the Pixel 8 pro. This is, however, for wired charging, and wireless charging is reportedly the same on the Pixel 8 series. It’s too early to assume though as there could be changes for the final products.

The report further adds that the Pixel 8 series will come with support for Wi-Fi 7, and upgraded UWB (ultrawide-band) but only on the Pixel 8 Pro. Google is also said to launch the Pixel 8 in more countries including Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Portugal.

Google Pixel 8 specifications (Expected)

  • The Pixel 8 Pro is said to house the Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor which is a 50-megapixel sensor that offers up to 100MP imaging. It will also feature a 64MP Sony IMX787 ultrawide camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens.
  • For selfies, the Pixel 8 series is expected to feature the same 11MP front camera that is also on the Pixel 7 series.
  • The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones will most likely be powered by the Tensor G3, which would be Google’s third in-house chipset.
  • Leaks suggest the Pixel 8 will come in four colour options of Jade, Haze, Licorice, and Peony.
  • The Pixel 8 Pro will also come in four colour options of Jade, Licorice, Porcelain, and Sky.
