Google Pixel 8a to be more expensive than its predecessor

0 19

Google’s upcoming Pixel 8a might be significantly more expensive than any of its predecessors, at least in the EU, according to a new report from a usually reliable source.

The Pixel 7a started at €500, but the Pixel 8a is going to be €570, German retailers now say. There will be two versions: one with 128GB of storage, the other with 256GB. The latter will cost €630.

The Pixel 8a will allegedly be available in four colors when sales start, internal listings from the aforementioned German retailers show. These will be called Obsidian (black), Porcelain (beige), Bay (light blue), and Mint (light green). Not all colors may pair with both storage variants, however, since the 256GB model is currently only listed in Obsidian.

The Pixel 8a should become available in April or May. According to previous leaks and rumors, it will sport Google’s Tensor G3 SoC and 8GB of RAM. It will have a much rounder design than its predecessor and will have two rear cameras in a ‘visor’ that reaches all the way across the phone’s back, a now very recognizable Pixel feature.
