Google Play Store now allows you to remotely uninstall apps

The Google Play Store allows you to install applications on your Android device remotely using other devices. For example, you can log into the Play Store on the web using your laptop and install an app on your Samsung smartphone or tablet. Well, the Play Store will now also allow you to uninstall apps from one of your Android devices remotely using other devices. For example, you can now open the Play Store on your smartphone and uninstall an app from your tablet, smartwatch, or TV.

Google has announced the new feature in the changelog for the latest version of Google System Updates (via 9to5Google). According to the company, the functionality will be available on Auto, PC, Phone, TV, and Wear. It means that you will be able to uninstall apps from any of these platforms remotely. The new feature comes as a part of the latest version of the Play Store (v38.8), which, Google is rolling out in phases.

TheSpAndroid has explained how to use the feature. According to the publication, you can access this functionality by going to Manage apps & devices > Manage. Once you are on that screen, click on “ This device and select the device from which you want to uninstall apps. The Play Store will then show you the apps installed on that device. From there, you can select the apps that you want to uninstall, click on the delete icon, and select Uninstall to remove those apps from the selected device.
