Info Edge India founder and vice-chairman Sanjeev Bikhchandani said on Friday that the company, which operates platforms such as job-listing portal Naukri.com, has been compliant with Google’s Play Store policies.

His comments come in light of Google’s statement that it is taking action against 10 Indian companies for non-compliance with the Android-maker’s billing policies, which app developers have opposed.

He said that Info Edge has received a notice from Google saying the apps will be de-listed from the Play Store if it does not comply with the policies.

“We have been compliant since Feb 9 the date the Supreme Court order came out. There are no pending invoices of Google with us. All have been paid in a timely manner,” he told ET.

In addition to Info Edge, other companies that are likely to face action from Google include listed firm Matrimony.com and People Group, which owns Shaadi.com, people aware of the matter said.

Google said Friday it was taking action against 10 “well-established” companies for not complying with its Play Store payment policies. This is the latest in the tussle between Indian startups and Google, over its Play Store billing policies, which the developers have opposed.

“After giving these developers more than three years to prepare, including three weeks after the Supreme Court’s order, we are taking necessary steps to ensure our policies are applied consistently across the ecosystem, as we do for any form of policy violation globally. Enforcement of our policy, when necessary, can include removal of non-compliant apps from Google Play,” Google said in a statement.
