Google Tasks Will Now Let You Star Important Tasks

0 65

When you’re jotting down a to-do list, there are some tasks that are a bit more important than the rest. Because of this, Google is rolling out a new update to its to-do list app. The company is giving people the ability to star important tasks on Google Tasks.

Google has an app for just about everything under the sun, so it should come as no surprise that there’s a to-do list app. Since it’s a Google product, you can bet that the items are accessible through other Google services.

You can ask Google Assistant to make a task, and you’ll be able to access that task through the Google Tasks app. Also, when you make tasks using the app, they will also show up on your Google Calendar. It’s a nice app to use if you want to keep your life organized.

Now, you can start important Google Tasks

We’ve actually known about the feature for some time (as in last year), but it’s just now making it to the public. Basically, when you jot down tasks, you’ll be able to make some of them as more important than the rest.

When you view your tasks, you’ll see a star outline on the right side of each task. If you want to mark the task as important, you just simply tap on the star; it will then turn blue. As you can expect, those tasks will be placed at the top of the view and stick out more.

The same thing goes for the web version of the service. You’ll see the same blue star. When you go to the hamburger-style menu, you’ll see an option to display only the starred tasks. That will be right above your lists.

If you’re excited about this new feature, it’s still rolling out. This means that if you don’t have it yet, you’ll just need to wait a few days. If you want to manually check for the update, just search for Google Tasks on the Google Play Store and see if there’s a green “Update” button.
