Halo Infinite Getting Map Inspired By Mtn Dew And It Looks Amazing

0 35

Mtn Dew is resurrecting its Game Fuel drink this year, and to celebrate, the soft drink company teamed up with Microsoft for a special map in Halo Infinite inspired by the drink.

The map is called Critical Dewpoint, and it’s coming to Halo Infinite through the Halo 3 Refueled playlist later this week. This playlist features seven classic Halo 3 maps remade for Infinite using Forge.

A first look at Critical Dewpoint

Critical Dewpoint was created by Forge user ArturBloodshot. They said on the Xbox Wire that the map features nods to Mtn Dew, including an overall green hue, and it even has a vending machine that spits out power-ups.

“Everyone associates Halo 3 with Mtn Dew, right?” Artur said. “That nostalgia is really important to the community because it allows you to reflect on how you started, and how the game has evolved to bring you new experiences while keeping the essence of the thing you love.”

The Halo 3 Refueled playlist launches on November 14 and will stay online until November 28. Maps from the Refueled playlist aren’t going away entirely, though; the maps will enter Halo Infinite’s general rotation when the event wraps up.

Outside of the game, Mtn Dew Game Fuel is available now in the US in Citrus Cherry flavor.
