As Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny nears its long-awaited release, don’t forget that Harrison Ford is soon set to make his MCU debut in 2024’s Captain America: New World Order — something that might be thrilling fans but is inspiring much more ambivalent feelings from the famously stoic star himself. Elsewhere, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is enjoying all the acclaim we hoped it would, although it could be spelling bad news for Marvel Studios’ own multiverse in the process. Last but not least, the Deadpool 3 X-Men reunion party (potentially) continues.

Harrison Ford gives a peak Harrison Ford answer when asked how much he’s enjoying filming Captain America 4

We’re used to actors coming into the MCU and gushing over how much fun they’re having playing in the Marvel sandbox, but Hollywood’s most hallowed curmudgeon Harrison Ford was never going to do that now, was he? When asked if he’s having fun playing the recast “Thunderbolt” Ross — maybe even, dare we hope, Red Hulk? — in Captain America: New World Order, the Star Wars and Indiana Jones legend admitted that it’s “not a walk in the park,” and, while he’s had “fun days” on the production, he’d mostly summarize it as “not fun fun. It’s work.” Harrison Ford, thank you for being you.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse earning rave reviews is good news for Spidey fans, less good for the MCU

In welcome but totally unsurprising news, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is earning universal praise ahead of its theatrical release this weekend. That’s fantastic for those eagerly awaiting our next dive into the Spider-Verse, but it’s probably not good for the much-beleaguered MCU. If Across the Spider-Verse‘s Rotten Tomatoes score is as high as Everything Everywhere All at Once‘s, and especially if The Flash is also a big critical hit, Marvel — against all the odds — seems destined to be the least well-received cinematic multiverse to have recently hit the big screen. Who’d have thunk it?

An X-Men veteran who just so happens to have recently praised Ryan Reynolds is the latest rumored addition to Deadpool 3

Yes, another day, another new veteran from Fox’s X-Men universe rumored to have “secretly” joined Deadpool 3. While your mileage may vary on these rumors, this one is worth paying attention to, however, as it just so happens that the star in question made sure to lavish praise on his former X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star Ryan Reynolds’ adventures as the Merc with the Mouth in a recent interview. Seeing as this star narrowly avoided a return in Hugh Jackman’s last final outing as Wolverine, Logan, a Deadpool 3 cameo would put history right.

The MCU might be coming under fire for its post-credits scenes leaving us hanging, but more of the latest Marvel news updates will arrive very soon.
