Recently, a Tesla Model X, which is the premium EV SUV from the brand, was seen driving around in Bangalore, Karnataka. This recently spotted Model X had an international number plate, and reports have stated that Tesla executives have been driving this SUV around in Bangalore.

The pictures of the Tesla Model X have been shared on Twitter by North Bangalore Post on their page. In the two pictures shared, a red-colored Tesla Model X can be seen stopped at the parking traffic signal. According to reports, this car has been spotted on multiple occasions. The most recent spotting took place at Minsk Square near the Cubbon Park metro station. As for the registration plate, this particular SUV was seen wearing a Dubai registration plate, indicating that it is most likely a Carnet import for company officials.

For those who may not be aware, the Tesla Model X spotted at the traffic sign is one of the most powerful and popular electric SUVs across the globe. The Model X EV SUV comes offered with two electric powertrains. There is a long-range variant and a more powerful Plaid variant. With the long-range variant, the Tesla Model X gets a dual-motor setup with a claimed range of 579 km. Meanwhile, the Plaid variant gets a tri-motor setup, but the claimed range drops to 547 km. Both variants get an all-wheel-drive system. The long-range variant can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.8 seconds, whereas the Plaid can do the same in just 2.5 seconds, which is extremely quick, making it the fastest SUV in terms of 0-100 kmph.

Last month, it was reported that the American EV giant Tesla Inc could officially launch in India in January 2024. The brand is expected to make this announcement during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit held in Gandhinagar. Reports have also suggested that Tesla is in the final stages of negotiating with the government for land to set up a manufacturing facility in India. As per the reports, the company will set up its first manufacturing facility in Gujarat’s Sanand. Prior to this, the company will be signing Memorandums of Understanding at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

Just a few weeks ago, it was also reported that the company is looking to manufacture a Rs 17 lakh EV car for the Indian automotive market. It has been reported that the American EV maker has indicated that the majority of the volumes from its new production facility, which it will set up in India, will be for the Rs 17 lakh (sub-$20,000) electric vehicle. Tesla has stated that it is already working on this vehicle for emerging markets. As of yet, not much is known about this upcoming $25,000 Tesla. However, as mentioned, it is being designed especially for the Indo-Pacific region.
