Honda Elevate beats Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq And MG Astor In January 2024 Sales
The Japanese automotive giant, Honda Cars India, has turned around its fortunes with the launch of the all-new Elevate SUV in the country. With the sales figures out for the month of January 2024, it has been noted that the Elevate has managed to beat a number of its competitors. The list of cars beaten by Honda Elevate includes Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and a few others. Total sales for the Honda Elevate compact SUV stood at 4,586 units for the month of January this year.

In January 2024, Honda managed to dispatch a total of 4,586 units of the SUV across the country. As the model was not on sale a year ago, there is no year-on-year sales comparison. However, on a month-on-month basis, the Honda Elevate saw a 5 percent jump in demand as the sales in December of 2023 were at 4,376 units. As for the sales of Honda Elevate from August 2023 till December 2023, the sales figures were 2,822, 5,685, 4,957, 4,755, and 4,376 respectively, and the total was 22,595 units.

As for its competition, the Honda Elevate managed to beat a lot of the other established compact SUVs in the segment. This includes the likes of the Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. As per the sales data, the German automotive giant Volkswagen’s Indian subsidiary managed to sell a total of 1,275 units of its compact SUV Taigun. And its sales for the last six months of 2023 from July to December were – 1,908, 1,943, 1,586, 2,219, 1,771, and 2,456 respectively. All of these total 11,883 units.
Coming to the sales of Skoda Kushaq in January, the Czech automaker sold a total of 1,082 units. And the last six months’ sales for the year 2023 from July to December were – 2,394, 2,409, 2,260, 2,447, 1,908, and 2,485 units. All of these added up totals to 13,903 units, which is better than Volkswagen Taigun but almost half of the Honda Elevate, which was not even launched in July of last year. Additionally, coming to sales of the MG Astor, the company sold a total of 966 units in January of 2024. Meanwhile, its last six months’ sales total came to about 5,106 units as it sold 954, 814, 901, 890, 726, and 821 units from July till December 2023.
