Now AI can help to recruit new staff. But how companies are using it to recruit?

With the expansion of AI, which is used in every field, now it can help to recruit new staff. But how AI may be used to recruit new staff in companies? The article deals with the experience of some companies which are using AI to recruit new staff.

Southwest Airlines did not have a reliable means to monitor the effectiveness of the company’s email and website hiring initiatives before using artificial intelligence (AI) to locate job candidates. Also, the airline was unable to queue up prospective employees who had visited a page displaying jobs but had left before a suitable opening had been advertised. According to Kelby Tansey, manager for recruitment marketing at Southwest Airlines, the airline now has “a warm pipeline of prospects” it can draw from anytime employment opportunities occur since it started utilizing an AI-enabled hiring platform from software company Phenom.

Tansey claimed that the airline can now contact “passive” job applicants who visited Southwest but were unable to identify an opening at the time.

According to recent studies, between 35% and 45% of businesses are anticipated to utilize AIbased talent acquisition software and services this year to assist in the selection and interviewing of job candidates. According to a survey by online job recruiting provider Modern Hire, nearly three out of four organizations increased their purchases of talent acquisition technology in 2022, and 70% want to continue investing this year-even if a recession occurs. Betsy Summers, a principal analyst at Forrester Research, reported that clients have been asking her more questions regarding AI recruiting platforms.

Other top suppliers of AI-based talent acquisition software and services include Eightfold, Beamery, and Seekout. All of them carry out skills inference and candidate-job matching. Phenom’s SaaS-based Intelligent Talent Experience platform is another such provider. According to Forrester Research, other notable suppliers include Clovers (including its recent acquisition of Talvista), HireVue, Pymetrics (recently bought by Harver), and iCIMS. According to Forrester Principal Analyst Betsy Summers, AI-based recruitment systems may uncover “more varied talent pools” and “provide” a more accurate method of candidate qualification based on skills matching as opposed to job title matches or other signals. Since they’re utilized for arranging interviews, managing the application process, helping recruiters with follow-ups, and managing the applicant pipeline, certain use cases for talent acquisition platforms are efficiency-focused. Some platforms also place a strong emphasis on eliminating bias, such as by making job descriptions and candidate communications more inclusive.
