One such feature that is preferred by most users is the Whatsapp lock. Adding more to its privacy, WhatsApp also offers TouchID, FaceID and fingerprint unlock to its users. As the name reads, the feature restricts anyone from using the WhatsApp app on their smartphones before authenticating with facial recognition or fingerprint senor.

As an additional security measure, WhatsApp users can enable the fingerprint unlock on WhatsApp. When enabled, users must use Touch ID or Face ID (iPhone) or Fingerprint unlock (Android) to unlock WhatsApp.

The feature is available for both Android and iOS platforms. Once enabled, users will need to use their fingerprint or face to launch WhatsApp. It is worth noting that WhatsApp still allows users to answer calls if the app is locked.
