Hyundai’s ‘Samarth’ initiative empowers lives, supporting para-athletes, providing assistive devices, and promoting inclusivity globally.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has unveiled the ‘Samarth’ initiative, signaling a pivotal step towards fostering inclusivity and empowerment for people with disabilities across India.

This pioneering endeavor, aligned with Hyundai’s global vision of ‘Progress for Humanity,’ strives to create an all-encompassing, progressive society by harnessing the transformative power of mobility.

The Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), our social responsibility arm, is harmonizing efforts with GoSports Foundation to launch a special program for para-athletes. This exclusive program extends holistic assistance to athletes in both team and individual sports, championing inclusivity, innovation, and significant impact in the parasports ecosystem.

HMIF’s collaboration with Samarthanam Trust involves providing assistive devices to differently-abled individuals while championing the cause of visually impaired athletes through a cricket-centric development program. By organizing training camps and international bilateral series, HMIF aims to spotlight the talents of visually impaired cricketers, nurturing their physical and social growth.

Hyundai’s commitment to inclusivity extends beyond the external realm. They’re not only enhancing their internal systems but also making their digital presence user-friendly for people with disabilities. This step contributes to a more accessible online world for all.

Furthermore, the brand is revamping their physical locations, including dealerships, to ensure 100 percent wheelchair accessibility by February 2024. This dedication demonstrates Hyundai’s commitment to equality and social responsibility.

Through the ‘Samarth’ initiative, Hyundai Motor India aims to raise awareness, foster inclusivity, and empower individuals with disabilities in every aspect of life. For Hyundai, this journey is about more than cars; it’s a meaningful step towards a compassionate and inclusive future.
