Hyundai India Exter micro SUV’s best value-for-money S trim reviewed on video

Hyundai, the South Korean automotive giant, recently introduced its newest micro-SUV, the Exter, in the country, which has quickly gained popularity. Now, buyers are keenly exploring its most value-for-money variants. A recent online video featured the Exter’s second-to-base S variant, and the presenter affirms it to be the ultimate value-for-money choice.

The video of the Hyundai Exter’s most value-for-money S variant has been shared on YouTube by Team AutoTrend on their channel. The video starts off with the introduction of the model, where the presenter mentions that this is the second-to-base S variant, which, according to them, offers all the essential features but misses out on some fancy convenience features. The presenter then begins describing the vehicle, mentioning that the car on the outside does not look bad and gets adequate features to make it feel more premium than the base E variant.

He starts by mentioning that the S variant comes equipped with square halogen headlamps, and just like the top-spec variant, it gets the same H-shaped LED DRLs and halogen indicators. He then adds that the front of the S variant still gets the same parametric gloss black grille, along with the silver skid plate. Moving on, he shows the side profile of the car and points out that from the side, it becomes evident that the car is the lower-spec variant, as it gets the body-colored B pillar and no black masking on it.

Additionally, the S variant gets body-colored door handles but misses out on the electric sunroof, roof rails, and the shark fin antenna. The company offers 14-inch steel wheels for the S variant, but here, they come covered with silver wheel covers. Moving on, he shows the C-pillar of the car, stating that it, too, gets the same parametric design as the top-spec cars, and towards the rear, it manages to get the same gloss black centerpiece in the rear boot lid as well. The presenter also mentions that the S variant also manages to get the H-shaped LED taillights but misses out on the rear roof spoiler and rear wiper washer and defogger.

Continuing, he then shows the interior of the car by first opening the rear boot lid. He mentions that the car gets a 330-liter boot, which can be increased to 390 after removing the parcel tray. He then takes a seat at the steering and mentions that it comes equipped with steering-mounted controls, along with the digital instrument cluster, just like the other higher-end variants and its sub-compact SUV sibling, the Venue. He also adds that the car manages to get the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system but misses out on connectivity features. Moving on, he shows the manual air conditioning system and the manual transmission, mentioning that despite being the second-to-base variant, it comes loaded with essential features.
