If Dwayne Johnson Isn’t Even Safe From Body-Shamers, We’re Doomed

The internet can be a terrible place at the best of times, with far too many people hiding behind a keyboard and launching insults at complete strangers for no other reason to amuse themselves. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any stranger, though, Dwayne Johnson is being body-shamed.

Yep, the same Dwayne Johnson that’s spent his entire adult life being insanely jacked and looks like he’s been vacuum sealed into every single one of the t-shirts that can barely contain his muscularity has been coming under fire on Instagram after posting the latest of his inspirational workout videos carrying a message of positivity amongst the beefiness.

Even though the actor and producer quite literally signed off the accompanying caption by urging his millions of followers to “have a great and productive weekend,” there were many who didn’t get the memo and immediately zeroed in on the 51 year-old’s calves.

“Skipping leg day I see,” “he gotta work on his calfs,” “look how thin his legs are,” and “Gotta workout them calves more” are just a few of the comments lurking near the very top, and you’ve got to wonder how much of an impeccable physical specimen these people are to make a point of calling out The Rock for not boasting the most perfectly-sculpted calf muscles this side of a marble statue.

Then again, there were probably a lot of crumbs and Cheeto dust needing to be wiped from fingers and keyboards before any of it was typed, because that’s typically the way social media works.
