Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane’s latest ride is a BMW 6 Series worth Rs. 70 lakhs

Indian cricketer, Ajinkya Rahane has just bought a new BMW 6 Series. It is the 630i M Sport variant which is finished in a sober white colour. It is priced at Rs. 69.90 lakhs ex-showroom. The facelifted version of the BMW 6 Series was launched last year.

Ajinkya also owns a white coloured Audi Q5. He has been spotted in it many times. Before the Audi Q5, he used to drive a Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Ajinkya is not the only cricketer who owns a BMW 6 Series. IPL Cricketer Prithvi Shaw also bought the same BMW 630i M Sport in a white colour last year in October.

BMW offers the 6 Series in three variants. There are 630i M Sport, 620d Luxury Line and 630d M Sport. The 6 Series can be considered a larger version of the 5 Series with a different back-end design. Where the 5 Series is a sedan, the 6 Series is a grand tourer with a hatchback. At the rear, it even gets an active rear spoiler that deploys at a specific speed. To enhance the looks, the 6 Series comes with frameless windows. The 6 Series also has a longer wheelbase and length. So, if you want a cabin with more space then the 6 Series is for you. Moreover, the 5 Series sells in really good numbers whereas the 6 Series still retains its exclusivity. So, it will turn more heads on the road when compared to the 5 Series. Because of GT’s unique design language, it does not have a direct rival.

BMW made a bunch of changes with the facelift. It now gets slimmer LED headlamps that still come with BMW’s laser lights. They are one of the best in the industry but they do cost a lot in case the headlamp breaks. The LED Daytime Running Lamps and the LED tail lamps were also revised. The new infotainment system is larger and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Depending on the variant, the 6 Series GT is offered in three engine options. There is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 258 PS and 400 Nm, then there is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 190 PS and 400 Nm. The most powerful engine is the 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine. It puts out 265 PS and 620 Nm. All the engines come mated to an 8-speed ZF sourced torque converter automatic gearbox.

Rohit Sharma buys Lamborghini Urus

Rohit Sharma’s Urus is finished in “Blu Eleos”, which is a shade of dark blue. Blue seems like his favourite colour. He also owns a BMW M5 which is also finished in blue.
