However, this particular Jimny is the craziest of them all. The Jimny has not been designed to show off on public roads; rather, it has been created for the purpose of competition. Recently, a video showing this off-road and rally competition-spec Jimny has been shared online, and it shows its unique body, suspension, and tire setup. This Jimny even has a built-in roll cage as well.
Most uniquely modified Jimny
The video of this extremely modified competition-spec Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been shared on YouTube by This is Gabru on their channel. It starts off with the presenter giving a small walkaround of this distinctly modified Jimny. He states that this Jimny used to be a five-door model which was then converted into a pickup truck by cutting the roof off. He then shows and mentions that the shop has custom fabricated the entire body of the car to make it look like a unique pickup truck.
The owner of the shop first mentions that they had to weld and seal the doors and create a frame behind the two front seats to fit the original rear windshield. After this, he mentions that the newly created truck bed will get a new fuel tank and an ARB air compressor. Additionally, he mentions that they will cover the rest of the open panels with sheet metal and refinish the entire truck bed. He added that the rear door and the sill of the truck bed have been custom fabricated as well.
Following this, the presenter then shows the interior of the vehicle. The owner of the shop then explains that this is the only Jimny in the country to be fitted with an FMSCI – Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India approved six-points roll cage. Apart from this, the presenter adds that the seats are yet to be added along with other minor modifications on the interior. After this, he shows the exterior of the car which has been given a custom diamond-shaped fender which he states look OEM. He also shows custom-made full metal front and rear bumpers as well.
Mechanical modifications
Coming to the mechanical modifications side of things, the presenter mentions that this is currently the most expensive Jimny in the country with a total of 36 lakhs invested. It gets one of the most revered independent rear suspensions – Dana 44. Next up, he states that they have also added 5-inch coils, replacing the 3-inch coils of the Jimny. Apart from this, the car has been given a set of massive 33.8-inch off-road specific Renegade tires from Radar.
Additionally, the presenter mentions that the car has also been given new heim joints as well. He mentions that these joints help during the flex of the car during rock crawling. Following this, the presenter asks the owner about the driveability of this car on the road. To this, he replies that it rides very comfortably on the road. However, it has not been made to be driven on public roads, and it will be strictly used for rock crawling and competitions.
