The video of India’s first-ever 2024 Creta with 20-inch alloy wheels has been shared on Instagram by Velocity Tyres on their page. For those who may not be aware, Velocity Tyres is one of the most popular shops in the country located in Ludhiana, Punjab. It is known for having one of the most extensive selections of alloy wheels for all makes and models. In this video, a brand-new 2024 Creta was seen being fitted with brand-new 20-inch alloy wheels.

This short clip starts off with a new 2024 Creta standing on jack stands with all of its wheels and tyres removed. It can be then noted that a person was spray painting the brake calipers in silver. After this, the new 20-inch alloy wheels were seen getting unboxed and mounted with low-profile tyres. Finally, after the car was then fitted with the completed alloy wheels and tyre set, a few rolling shots of this unique-looking SUV were shared.

Should you add these massive alloy wheels?

A lot of people get inspired by such videos of modified cars on social media and want to get their vehicles modified as well. However, then the question arises, should you add such modifications like bigger wheels and tyres to your car? Well, the answer depends. Not all aftermarket alloy wheels and tyres are bad. However, at the same time, not all are good as well.

When selecting an aftermarket alloy wheel, the quality of the wheels should be assessed very carefully, as over the last few years, we have seen numerous alloy wheels breaking during high speeds. Also, most reputed tyre manufacturers do not produce tyres for such big alloy wheels. So mostly these shops suggest going for cheaper and lower-quality Chinese tyres. These tyres are not very safe, and hence you have to be very careful when driving with these types of tyres. So when getting such modifications done, people should spend a little extra money and time to ensure safety.

From the video, it can be noted that this Creta was a lower trim variant. Generally, people buy the most affordable variants of this popular SUV, as well as other models, and get them fitted with such unique-looking aftermarket wheels. Currently, the new 2024 Creta base E variant with the 1.5-litre petrol engine making 114 bhp and 148 Nm of torque is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine model making 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque is priced at Rs 12.45 lakh.
