According to a tipster on Weibo, Xiaomi is currently testing an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for the Xiaomi 15 lineup. The phones from Xiaomi for a while now featured an in-display fingerprint sensor but if the new leak turns out to be true will be a significant upgrade.
Apart from the Xiaomi 15 series, the tipster says the OnePlus 13 might also feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. This means Xiaomi and Vivo might soon join Samsung, Vivo and other flagships using this tech already. This tech is claimed to make unlocking faster and more accurate.
Besides the fingerprint sensor, the Xiaomi 15 could use a full-flat screen, while the Ultra model might feature a curved glass similar to the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
