It was a birthday gift from her husband Vignesh, a renowned film director in the Tamil film industry. Nayanthara is an actress known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films, having appeared in over 80 movies in the past two decades. The video of the car being delivered to her was shared by the Mercedes-Benz Titanium Motors dealership.

When the car was introduced in the Indian market in 2021, the base price of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 was around Rs 2.43 crore, without any customization options. Currently, the price has increased to nearly Rs 3 crore, excluding customizations.

From the shared video, it can be seen that the car has a stunning Rubellite Red shade. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is available in a single variant. It is a completely built unit import, and all the units allocated to the country have been sold out till the end of this year. Mercedes-Benz is only delivering the units that have been previously booked by buyers.

The Maybach GLS600 showcases the signature Maybach design, featuring a massive vertical chrome-dipped grille. There are also some other notable changes in the vehicle, such as chrome inserts on the B-Pillar and the Maybach logo on the D-pillar.

The GLS600 offers both four and five-seater options. In the four-seater version, there is a fixed center console that includes a refrigerator to store champagne bottles, along with silver champagne flutes. Other features of the car include Nappa leather upholstery, electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massaging seats, and more.

The Maybach GLS600 is more powerful than the standard version of the car, equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine and a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine generates a maximum power of 557 PS and 730 Nm of torque. The hybrid system provides an additional boost of 22 PS and 250 Nm when needed. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of safety, the GLS600 offers a range of features including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Steering Assist, and more. It also features Adaptive High Beam Assist, Adaptive LED tail lamps, 8 airbags, TPMS, Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, electronic traffic control system, downhill speed regulation, off-road driving mode, PRE-SAFE system, carwash mode, attention assist, ABS, EBD, and safety vests for the driver and passenger.
