Jennifer Lawrence is back baby! The actress stars in the comedy No Hard Feelings this summer and she is bringing all her comedic powers with her. It isn’t just the comedy that Lawrence is bringing to the table, she is also serving up a big helping of sex appeal as her character tries to bring a 19-year-old boy out of his shell. There are many who would kill to be on the receiving end, though, for her co-star, Andrew Barth Feldman, it must have been a little terrifying.

For many, getting to play across from a two-time Oscar-winning actress is a dream come true, especially when that actress is Jennifer Lawrence playing a character that is trying to seduce you. Lawrence was obviously cast first and Feldman later, with the former recalling to Vanity Fair the most difficult part of the whole process, one that would make most of our legs a little shaky:

“One of the last things I did was a chemistry read with her, it was down to me and two other guys. And I was like, I’m going to have to look Jennifer Lawrence in the eyes today and say, ‘Let’s f***.’ That’s something that I have to do.”

He must have made a real impression on Lawrence though, as she herself called him up to inform him that he had landed the role, Feldman recalls. “She said, ‘Andrew, I’m so sorry, you’re not going to be able to go back to Harvard this semester.’” Yes, he also studies at Harvard and his studies were placed on hold so he could be a part of this film.

In No Hard Feelings, Feldman stars as Percy Becker, a 19-year-old introvert whose helicopter parents are worried about his lack of friendships and dating life, especially as he is about to head off to Princeton soon. They will do anything to set him up for success, and so they enlist Maddie Barker (Lawrence) to “bring him out of his shell,” so to speak. The film’s trailer went viral when it was released back in March due to the hilarity of the situation and the comedic brilliance of both Feldman and Lawrence together.

Of working with her on set, Feldman initially joked, “She’s terrible. It was really, really a bad experience,” before laughing and going on to praise the star for being a great mentor and incredibly down-to-earth.

“We just immediately were diving into getting to know each other and breaking down any walls that there were. It went from ‘Wow, how cool that I’m working with this person’ to ‘This is a very special person in my life. This is somebody that will always be in my life.’”

You can catch Feldman and Lawrence in No Hard Feelings very soon, the movie arrives in theaters on June 23.
