While challenges persist, NIAL remains committed to ensuring the airport is well-connected through various means for the convenience of travelers.

Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) is gearing up for the launch of the Jewar Airport, and they’ve brought multiple agencies on board to ensure seamless connectivity through roads, trains, rapid rails, and the Expressway.

NIAL is working with agencies like North Central Railway, NCRTC, NHAI, and UPSRTC to ensure seamless connectivity. However, there are some hurdles in the plan.

In a recent meeting, NIAL informed North Central Railways about challenges in connecting Chola in Bulandshahr and Rundhi in Haryana with the airport. They proposed an alternate route due to the airport’s location between different railway lines, as reported by The Indian Express.

While there are challenges, positive developments are also in the pipeline. Connectivity with Ballabhgarh (Delhi-Mumbai Expressway) is set to be completed by April 30, along with other roadway routes. Plans are underway to connect the airport to Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, linking it with Manesar and Dehradun.

Singh revealed plans for additional roads around the airport, including a 75-meter road on the north side, a 750-meter VIP road on the west side for cargo movement, and another 60-meter road for the airport—all expected before the airport’s operationalization.

While modes like Rapid Rail and Pod Taxi will take a few more years, buses will be available from day one of airport operations. Singh assured that a bay within the airport premises would provide access to buses, trams, metro lines, and even a bullet train, ensuring passengers don’t have to exit the terminal for further travel.

Innovations in transportation are on the horizon, with plans for an underground multimodal connectivity bay and the development of a DPR for a Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) from IGI airport in Delhi to Jewar Airport.
