Kacy Hill Announces Album ‘Bug,’ Drops ‘You Know I Love You Still’

For Kacy Hill, making her album Bug helped her catch her feelings before they flew away.

On Friday, the singer released “You Know I Love You Still,” the first single off of Bug, out May 3, which explores her musical instincts and how, even if she tries, she’ll never be able to let go.

“‘You Know I Love You Still’ is a love song to music,” she said in a press release. “I’ve spent a number of years in this industry now and in my most vulnerable moments, I wish I could just let it go and move away and start a new, simpler life.”

“But I also know that wherever I go, it will follow me,” she added. “I can try to start new, but I will always come back to it one way or another.”

The single is one of 10 tracks featured on Bug, which also features songs “May Day Off” with Nourished by Time,” “Listen to Lyou,” and “Here I Am” with Donna Missal.

Lana Del Rey expressed her excitement for the album, sharing the cover art, which sees a green dragonfly sitting on the side of Hill’s bare buttocks, on Instagram Thursday. The image was shot by Del Rey’s sister Chuck Grant

Bug was made over the course of two years and became an outlet to say what I had been silently feeling in my relationship and life as a whole,” she said. “Making this album marked a distinct change in my mindset as I shifted away from specific expectations, and instead focused on the curiosity and joy I felt while making music.”

The singer will celebrate the album’s release with a 10-date show run in key cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Vancouver, and Portland in late May and early June.

Bug, her fourth album, marks the singer’s first LP since 2021’s Simple, Sweet, and Smiling, which featured tracks “Seasons Bloom.”
