The romance-themed clip features Tiësto and Young Miko

Karol G dropped a new single, “Contigo,” a collaboration with Tiësto. The Colombian musician shared the track in honor of both Valentine’s Day and her birthday along with music video that embraces the spirit of the holiday.

The music video stars Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko, who previously teamed up with Karol G on her song “Dispo.” As the singer reflects on how life is so much better with someone else in it, she and Young Miko play out an onscreen romance.

“Contigo” interpolates Leona Lewis’ 2007 hit “Bleeding Love,” which was originally written by Jesse McCartney and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. Karol G’s Spanish-language version becomes a club anthem thanks to Tiësto.

Along with the music video, Karol G shared a short YouTube video she tagged with #KarolGContigo, encouraging fans to join in with their own versions.

“I am very excited to see what my fans will create inspired by my new song “Contigo!” Karol G said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see their interpretation of this track, I want to see them echoing the powerful message that I want to deliver with this song. I made this song to celebrate the joy of LOVE. I want to inspire you to take a chance on LOVE and show me what that means to you!”

Earlier this month, Karol G became the first woman to win the Best Musica Urbana Album category at the Grammys for her 2023 LP Mañana Será Bonito. In her speech she said, “This is such a beautiful thing. My album has given me the best memories in my own life, my whole life — my fans that came and enjoyed my album, that gave motivation and inspiration and heal with me — thank you so much. I promise to give you my best always. And I hope that this is the first of so many. So thank you, everybody.”
