Karol G Private Jet Makes Emergency Landing in Los Angeles Over Smoke
Shortly after taking off from a nearby airport in Burbank with 16 people on board, the plane’s cockpit started to fill with smoke
Shortly after departing from Burbank Airport, Karol G‘s private jet made an emergency landing in Los Angeles. With 16 passengers on board, the plane’s pilot reported that there was smoke filling the cockpit and rerouted to Van Nuys Airport, according to ABC 7.
Once safely grounded, Karol G and the other passengers on her jet embraced one another after exiting onto the tarmac. Emergency crews met the group as they arrived, and overhead footage captured by ABC 7 showed the Colombian musician on the phone.
Karol G is scheduled to perform in Guatemala City on March 1 as part of her Mañana Será Bonito tour. No changes have been make to the tour schedule as of yet. Representatives for the singer did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.
The Mañana Será Bonito tour kicked off on Feb. 8 with a seven-show run in Mexico City that concluded on Feb. 24. The Guatemala City show would be Karol G’s first back, with two shows there before heading over to El Salvador, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and more.
“I imagined that I was going to accomplish a lot of things in my life, but really, I never imagined it’d be to the point that it is today. To reach so many people, touch so many people in so many different aspects — it still blows my mind,” Karol G told Rolling Stone in an interview last year. “Life has shown me that so many things are possible. I have 10 times more ambition and vision than what I imagined.”
