Kendrick Lamar Perform at Pre-Super Bowl Concert in Las Vegas – The Hollywood Reporter

Kendrick Lamar won an Emmy for performing at the Super Bowl halftime show and days before this year’s big game, the rap prince gave a memorable performance in Las Vegas.

Lamar performed at the Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team 2024 season launch in Sin City, working the stage built like a catwalk on Thursday night. Wearing a suit and bright neon sneakers with a pic in his hair, he ran through a number of his hit songs, including “Humble,” “Alright,” “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe,” “Swimming Pools (Drank),” “Loyalty,” “Money Trees,” “Love” and “DNA.”

“Vegas, what the fuck is up?” he said at the top of his performance.

He closed his set with “Family Ties” and was joined by Baby Keem, who also performed earlier in the night. 

“Until next time — we love y’all,” Lamar said as he exited the stage. 

Simu Liu, Janelle Monáe, Gabrielle Union, Terry Crews, Victoria Monét, Olivia Culpo and social media sensations Drew “Druski” Desbordes and Josh Richards attended the event, where Formula One Team drivers — Daniel Ricciardo of Australia, Yuki Tsunoda of Japan and Amna AlQubaisi of UAE — unveiled their new car, the VCARB 01.

The event, in partnership with The h.wood Group and Red Bull, took place at a custom-built immersive event space across from The Wynn Resort. Athletes who attended included Odell Beckham Jr., Aly Raisman, Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Jahmyr Gibbs and Megan Rapinoe,

Usher will headline Sunday’s halftime show, which will air live on CBS from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, when the defending champs Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers. Reba McEntire (“The Star Spangled Banner”), Post Malone (“America the Beautiful”) and Andra Day (“Lift Every Voice and Sing”) will perform during the pre-show festivities.

Lamar, along with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and 50 Cent, won the outstanding variety special (live) Emmy for their 2022 Super Bowl halftime performance. Jay-Z and Jesse Collins also shared the win as the special’s executive producers.
