Lamborghini unveils Telemetry X, a groundbreaking ‘track connectivity’ concept for future Supersports cars.

Owning a supercar may fulfill the dream of roaring down the highway, but it doesn’t automatically make you a skilled circuit driver.

Many enthusiasts find themselves facing the challenge of looking good on the track without the risk of crashing. Lamborghini has come up with a solution to this conundrum – introducing Telemetry X, a revolutionary ‘track connectivity’ concept.

Recently showcased at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Telemetry X is set to transform the track experience for owners of Lamborghini’s future Supersports cars.

Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Lamborghini, was quoted on Automobili’s official site expressing the commitment to innovation, emphasising that their upcoming supercars would not only provide thrills but immersive driving experiences.

He said, “In the near future, our supercars will increasingly offer not just thrills but truly immersive driving experiences. Telemetry X is a perfect preview of the connected services our customers will be able to experience in the coming years.”

Telemetry X builds upon the racing-derived digital technologies initially introduced with the 2020 Huracaan STO.

Lamborghini’s vision is to offer an immersive track driving experience through the synergy of three key systems developed in collaboration with Accenture: the Real Time Remote Garage, the Biometric Data System and the Digital Co-Pilot.

Real-Time Remote Garage:

Telemetry X’s core component is the Real Time Remote Garage, which is a web-based platform utilising the advanced capabilities of 5G technology.

This system allows drivers to access real-time video recordings of their on-track performance and telemetry. What sets it apart is the ability to connect with a remote coach anywhere in the world, receiving immediate feedback and suggestions during the driving session.

The aim is to enhance the driver’s performance and provide a more engaging track experience, ensuring safe and enjoyable driving.

Biometric Data System:

Telemetry X goes beyond the track, capturing the driver’s biometric data, including heart rate and stress levels.

This information adds depth to performance monitoring, offering valuable insights into how drivers can refine their skills and training.

The system is designed to prioritise the well-being of the driver, ensuring a holistic approach to the track experience.

Digital Co-Pilot:

Working in harmony with the Biometric Data System, the Digital Co-Pilot serves as a proactive voice assistant.

This advanced system analyses both biometric and vehicle data, providing real-time feedback to the driver on the track.

It offers insights into lap times, suggests improvements to racing lines and braking points, and provides information on the car’s performance.

The Digital Co-Pilot acts as a virtual mentor, assisting drivers in honing their skills safely.
