Lana Del Rey, the 1975’s Matty Healy, Bleachers, and Nick Cave are among the artists who contribute new renditions of mid-20th century songs to the Jack Antonoff-curated soundtrack for the upcoming Apple TV+ series The New Look.

Florence Welch, Beabadoobee, Perfume Genius, and more also recorded covers for the series, which focuses on the career of fashion designer Christian Dior and his clashes with Coco Chanel amid the backdrop of Nazi-occupied Paris.

The New Look — starring Ben Mendelsohn as Dior, Juliette Binoche as Chanel, and a cast that includes Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, Emily Mortimer, and Claes Bang — premieres on the streaming service on February 14, 2024.

Antonoff previously produced and oversaw the soundtrack for Minions: Rise of Gru, which assembled all-star artists like Phoebe Bridgers, H.E.R., St. Vincent, Diana Ross with Tame Impala, Brittany Howard and many more to cover hits from the Seventies.

News of The New Look soundtrack comes just after Antonoff detailed his upcoming self-titled Bleachers album, out March 8, along with the LP’s first single, “Alma Mater,” guest-starring Del Rey.

In a release, Bleachers has been described as being Antonoff’s “distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and on the things he cares about. Sonically, it’s sad, it’s joyful, it’s music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings. There’s something reassuringly touchable and concrete about its sentiment: exist in crazy times but remember what counts.”
