Are you using Windows 11 on your PC? Know how you can get a new taskbar animation in the latest update. Check how to enable it.

It’s time for another Windows 11 update! Microsoft has released the new Windows 11 build with a handful of notable changes and updates in the Development channel. The official changelog mentioned general bug fixes and improvements on several elements of Windows 11. However, some Windows Insiders noticed something unusual happening with the taskbar after installing the latest update.

As revealed by a Windows tester, Microsoft is testing a new icon flyout animation for the taskbar. A report by Neowin suggested that it is a part of A/B testing, which can allow you to force-enable the feature using ViveTool. Windows also confirmed in its blog that they “Fixed an issue which could lead to the taskbar overflow flyout unexpectedly appearing on the opposite side of the screen.” A new taskbar animation will bring a new zoom-in variant with subtle UI changes to it.

PhantomOcean3, a beta tester for Windows 11, tweeted a short video showing the difference in the new and old taskbar animation in Windows 11. The tweet said, “No variant has to be specified for the ID. Since this ID is used for A/B testing, that explains why some people see it and others don’t.”

That means, only some users can enjoy the updated animation in the Windows 11 latest update without any software hacks and tricks. However, if you are excited to try this new taskbar animation on your system, then the Neowin report has shared this secret trick! While using ViveTool, you can enable new taskbar animation on Windows 11. Know here in simple steps.
