Leaked Galaxy Book 4 images show off the classy design

Samsung is working on refreshing its premium laptop offerings with the Galaxy Book 4 lineup, which will have a sequel to every laptop in the Galaxy Book 3 series. Detailed specs of the new laptops were leaked recently by the folks over at WindowsReport, and they have now published images showing the four laptops in action.

The Galaxy Book 4 series will consist of five models, two of which have a 360-degree hinge. There’s the standard Galaxy Book 4, Galaxy Book 4 Pro, the Galaxy Book 4 360, the Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro, and the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, which is the most feature-packed model of the lot.

All of the laptops have a classy design that’s expected from premium laptops that go up against the likes of the Apple MacBook, though not much is changing compared to the Galaxy Book 3 lineup. That includes the off-center touchpad that we found to be a problem when testing the Galaxy Book 3 series, which is a design decision necessitated by the presence of a numpad.

The upgrades will come in the form of newer specs under the hood, including the latest generation of Intel processors (14th Gen Meteor Lake) that offer higher core and thread counts. The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra will also get an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, while other models will get either Intel’s Arc GPUs or feature onboard graphics.

Except for the base Galaxy Book 4, every model will feature an AMOLED display, and the 360 models will also support the S Pen, as one would expect. Unfortunately, there’s no word on how much the new laptops will cost and when they will be announced, though with the recent spate of leaks it’s possible Samsung will announce these along with the Galaxy S24 on January 17.
