Lucy Liu Talks About Her Character Kalypso In Shazam 2
Zachary Levi starrer Shazam! Fury of the Gods aka Shazam 2 is all set to hit the theatres and DCU fans are already excited to watch Zachary Levy as Shazam again. One of the writers behind the upcoming DC sequel has teased that there will be a Superman-like appearance in the sequel, just like the first part. The character of Kalypso played by Lucy Liu was also spotted on the premier.

Today a special premiere of Shazam 2 is happening today. Many actors and leads in the movie are seen clicking on the red carpet. The character of Kalypso played by Lucy Liu talked to the media about her role and movie. The actress shares the screen with Helen Mirren and Rachel Zegler; and are now inseparable.
She said-‘ I think off camera we had wonderful chemistry and we are sisters for life. The wonderful thing coming out of this movie was our friendship and sisterhood, which was a gift from this movie.”
She continued telling about her character- The writer Henry and I spoke to David as well that it’s justified that we are here to avenge our father’s death but what if we add more lines so that Kalylso’s intention is clear; cue don’t what to come out as straight villains. We are on a mission and just be directive. he did that and added a little bit of humor which was fun”.

To play these devious daughters, the director brought two big names: Lucy Liu played Kalypso, while Oscar-winner Helen Mirren stars as her sister Hespera. “It was a dream to work with them,” the director says. “We aimed high when we cast the movie, and we got exactly what we wanted.
