Mahindra Scorpio Classic in a quick walkaround video

Mahindra recently launched their all-new Scorpio N SUV in the market. The SUV has received an overwhelming response from customers. Just like Thar and XUV700, Scorpio N is also a hit product from Mahindra. Mahindra had already announced that they will be rebadging the older Scorpio as Scorpio Classic and will be sold along with the new Scorpio N. Mahindra has made some changes to the Scorpio before launching it. Recently, a top-end and lower variant of Scorpio Classic was spotted in a dealership and here we have a quick walkaround video of the same.

The video has been uploaded by THE RAJAT VLOGS on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger shows a Scorpio Classic S11 and a base S variant in the video. Both these cars are spotted at a dealership stockyard. The camouflage on the SUV has been completely removed and it shows the SUV would look. Vlogger starts with the top-end S11 variant. The front grille has been revised. It now gets vertical slats with chrome outline and in the center there is Mahindra’s new logo. The headlamp remains the same. It is a smoked projector unit with halogen turn indicators in it.

The bumper on this SUV has been slightly revised and it comes with a faux silver skid plate as well. The fog lamps are placed on the bumper and just above that is a new LED DRL set up. In terms of dimensions and design, the Scorpio Classic is similar to the older model. Side profile of the Scorpio Classic reveals the new set of 17 inch alloy wheels. The new Mahindra logo can be seen here as well. The tail lights, rear bumper all remain the same as before. The base model of Scorpio classic misses out on all these features.

It does not gets a body coloured bumper, LED DRL, projector headlamp and alloy wheel. The chrome outline on the front grille is also missing in the base S variant. Moving in, the higher variant of the Scorpio Classic comes with a cabin that is slightly different from the older Scorpio. There is Mahindra’s new logo on the steering wheel which is wrapped in leather. It is multi-function unit with cruise control switches mounted on it. The instrument cluster is the same as the older version. It gets mild hybrid system and the interiors are mostly beige with gloss black and faux wooden inserts at places.

The touchscreen infotainment system on the top-end variant of Scorpio Classic has been updated. It gets a new gear lever and everything else looks the same as before. In the lower variant, Mahindra is offering no features at all. There is manual AC buttons on the center console. Other than this, no other buttons are seen here. The steering wheels is a simple unit with no buttons on it. The seats are wrapped in fabric material. Mahindra will be offering a diesel engine only with the Scorpio Classic. It would be the 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine which will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
