The most recently spotted test mule of the Mahindra Thar five-door has revealed that it will be getting a brand-new digital instrument gauge cluster, which will provide the driver with a host of information regarding the vehicle.
Recently, a video shared on YouTube by Raftaar 7811 on their channel has shown this new feature addition. The video shows a test mule of the Mahindra Thar five-door stationary at a traffic signal. It shows the fully camouflaged exterior, and then there is a glimpse of the interior of the test mule. The main highlight, which can be noted from this interior spy shot, is the addition of a fully digital instrument gauge cluster. It can be noted that on the left side of the cluster, the digital speedometer was placed, and in the middle, there was the multi-information display. Most likely, it will be a 10.25-inch display.

The unique detail about this new grille will be that it will get a horizontal slat in the lower part, which divides the grille into two parts. The part above will be larger than the one below. Apart from this, the new five-door Thar has also been seen with new LED projector headlights, which also had LED DRLs integrated into them.

As of yet, reports have suggested that the company will not be offering any new powertrain options with the upcoming Thar five-door. Most likely, it will retain the outgoing three-door Thar’s engine options. Presently, the Mahindra Thar three-door model comes available with 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol and 2.2-liter diesel engine options in the four-wheel-drive variants. Reports have stated that the 5-door Thar will retain both of these engine options in a higher state of tune to manage the added weight with new middle doors and other additions inside the cabin.
