Mahindra Thar SUV modified with 22 inch aftermarket alloy wheels

It is a popular SUV among SUV enthusiasts and we have seen several videos of Mahindra Thar online where it is seen showing the off-road capabilities. This is a vehicle that is very popular among modifiers and several tastefully modified examples of Mahindra Thar have been featured on the website as well. Here we have a video that shows a modified Mahindra Thar from Punjab which comes with 22 inch aftermarket alloy wheels.

The video has been uploaded by Modified Club on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger shows a modified Mahindra Thar with aftermarket alloy wheels. Owners of this Mahindra Thar were also introduced in the video. The vlogger mentions that work on this Mahindra Thar is not over yet as the owners are planning to get the interiors customised as well. Coming to the exterior, the main attraction on this Mahindra Thar is the 22 inch alloy wheel from Fuel.

This has now become a trend among car owners. We have seen SUV owners going for bigger alloy wheels to enhance the overall look of the car. The car definitely looks brilliant  when it comes to the looks but the looks come at a cost. These large alloy wheels affect the off-road capabilities of the vehicle and it also affects the handling and ride quality. The alloy wheels seen here on the Mahindra Thar is from Fuel brand and the 22 inch Light truck tyres wrapped around the wheels are not branded. The seller who installed the wheels can be heard saying in the video that it is hard to find a branded wheel in this size in the market.

The alloy wheels are finished in matte black shade with a deep dish design. There are LED light strips installed inside the alloy wheels which glow at night. It is not known whether the lights also add up as turn indicators or not. The spare wheel on this Mahindra Thar is also 22 inch unit. Mahindra Thar comes with an 18 inch alloy wheel from factory with All-Terrain tyres. The overall cost of installing this 22 inch alloy wheel and tyre alone is around 4.5 lakh. The owner has also done other minor modifications to the SUV. It now gets Jeep Wrangler like LED projector headlamps that look premium.

The video does not show how the interiors on the Thar look as the work was pending. Mahindra Thar now offers features like touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, front facing rear seats and so on. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 2.0 litre mStallion turbocharged engine that generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of torque The diesel version of Thar uses 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine that generated 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel version come with manual and automatic transmission and 4×4 is offered as a standard feature.
