Driving on the wrong lane of the roads in India is a nuisance which has only become more troublesome than ever before. However, what’s even more shocking is that some people try to justify this wrongdoing of them and instead, put the blame on the motorists who are driving or riding right if they come in their way. While many people do not admit their mistakes, here is a ‘rare’ occasion of a person accepting his fault, when the car which he was driving on the wrong lane collided with a motorcycle head-on.

A YouTube video from the channel of Moto Mutants shows how a Yamaha R15 rider, who was riding rightly in his lane, collided with a Mahindra TUV300, which was coming towards him while being driven on the wrong lane of the road. Another Yamaha R15 rider, who was riding along with the person who collided with the TUV300, comes to his rescue and confronted the driver of the Mahindra TUV300.

At first, the Mahindra TUV300 driver was not accepting his fault and instead told the riders that he was driving on the wrong side of the lane as he was following another vehicle which was doing the same. However, after some counterclaims made by the R15 riders and one of them claiming that the entire accident got recorded in his action camera mounted on his helmet, the TUV300 driver accepted his mistake.

Driver offered Rs 200 as compensation

The other Yamaha R15 rider, who was riding along with the rider involved in the collision, entered into an argument and promised the affected rider in extracting the expenses required to repair his motorcycle due to the mistake of the TUV300 driver. While admitting his mistake, the TUV300 driver offered him a scanty compensation of Rs 200, to which both the R15 riders objected instantly.

After the collision, the front windscreen and front brake lever of the R15 were left broken, and its owner immediately said that the Rs 200 compensation was not enough to cover the expenses required. However, after much insisting and conversation between the TUV300 owner and the R15 rider, the former settled at a compensation of Rs 2,000. Throughout the conversation, the TUV300 remained calm and composed, but sometimes in the middle, he kept on trying to escape by giving silly excuses.

Driving a vehicle on the wrong lane of the road is dangerous for both itself and other motorists coming from the opposite direction rightly. Such instances can only lead to accidents, which can be fatal in case the vehicles involved are driven or ridden at high speeds.
