0 47

Mahindra XUV700 was launched in the market last year and it instantly became popular among buyers. Even today, select variants of the XUV700 has long waiting periods. It is the most feature loaded and technologically advanced SUV from Mahindra stable. Even the lower variants of the SUV come with decent number of features and we have seen several videos of XUV700 on the internet already. Customisations for Mahindra XUV700 have also started coming up in the market. They are mostly interiors customisations. Here we have a video where the interior of a lower variant Mahindra XUV700 SUV has been neatly customised to look like top-end trim.

The video has been uploaded by Autorounders on their YouTube channel. In this video, the owner of this SUV directly droppped the SUV at the workshop for customisation work. Video mentions that the owner only wants to take the SUV home after completing the interior work. As this is a lower variant of the SUV, it misses out on certain features and the ice grey leather seats are one of them. In the lower variants, Mahindra is offering dark coloured fabric seats which look slightly odd in otherwise lightly coloured cabin.

The owner wanted the interior on his XUV700 to look like the higher variant. This was not the first time, Autorounders was doing such a work on an XUV700 and they had done something similar earlier. As part of the customisation, the team starts working on the car by removing the fully digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system from the dashboard. The door panels were also removed and the plastic trim finished in ice grey shade on the dashboard was also removed. All these panels were removed to be wrapped in leather material. All the seats were removed from the car to make custom seat covers.

The heavy duty carpet like material on the back on the seats were retained and were stitched with the new seat covers to offer OEM like finish. The seat covers were in the same ice grey shade as in the higher models of XUV700. The custom seat covers got the same design and were fitting perfectly on the seat. It was not looking like an aftermarket material from any angle. The fit and finish of the seat covers were top notch and it completely elevated the look of the cabin. Along with the seat covers, the door pads also got leather padding and the plastic door handle got gloss finish. The AC panel on the center console also got a similar gloss black finish. The armrest and rest of the panels were finished in black only.

Mahindra XUV700 is the first SUV in the segment to offer ADAS. It is also the only SUV in the segment to offer AWD as an option with the top-end variant.  It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version uses a 2.0 litre mStallion turboharged engine. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission option. The diesel version uses 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged engine and it is available in 2 states of tune. This engine is also available with manual and automatic transmission.
